In 1993, the first Race for the Cure® was held in Boston with 1,100 community members participating. In 2006, the affiliate raised over one million dollars for screening, education, and treatment grants in Massachusetts. To date, we have funded over $1,500,000.00 in breast cancer research and education awareness grants in Massachusetts.
