MARCH 2008: Starting her 5th term on the Cambridge City Council, Marjorie Decker has announced that she will chair the Civic Unity and Public Facilities, Arts & Celebrations committees. In addition, Decker serves on the Finance, Ordinance, and Transportation, Traffic & Parking Committees.

NOVEMBER 12, 2007: Cambridge City Councilor Marjorie Decker has been reelected to a 5th term on the city council, after receiving some 1069 #1 votes. Decker then landed another 1140 votes on the second ballot. Cambridge uses a proportional voting system in its municipal elections.

Cambridge City Councilor Marjorie Decker has announced her recent marriage to Bahij Bandar. The couple was married On September 1st 2007, in a Greek Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of the Annunciation in Roslindale. The ceremony was followed by a reception in Topsfield MA.

DECKER APPEARS IN COMMUNITY TV EVENT |

OCTOBER 8, 2007:Cambridge Community Television provided the opportunity for all certified candidates for Cambridge city council and school committee to appear on our channels and website in an effort to inform our community of their choices this election season. This video was produced in late September 2007 by CCTV's staff and volunteers.
"I appreciate this opportunity to speak directly to the citizens of Cambridge and ask for their number one vote on Tuesday November 6," said Decker. "This forum allows the voters to hear firsthand the differences between the candidates and decide who will best serve their interests on the city council."

DECKER ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENTS |

OCTOBER 2, 2007: Cambridge State Representative Alice Wolf, along with several of the area's largest labor unions and trade organizations, have endorsed Marjorie Decker for reelection to the Cambridge City Council.
"It is truly an honor to have the support of the working men and women in our community. I'm also proud to stand with our retirees, many of whom dedicated their life's work to public service," said Decker.

Cambridge City Councilor Marjorie Decker announced to a crowd of 100 supporters that she is running for a 5th term to the Cambridge City Council. Decker, a native Cambridgian, and recent graduate of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, grew up in Woodrow Wilson Court, public housing located in Cambridgeport. Her family still resides in Cambridge.
