Cambridge City Councilor Marjorie Decker has announced her recent marriage to Bahij Bandar. The couple was married On September 1st 2007, in a Greek Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of the Annunciation in Roslindale. The ceremony was followed by a reception in Topsfield MA.

Bandar, who is a native of Lebanon, attended high school in Arlington, MA. His family has strong roots in the community, having once operated a deli in Porter Square, as well as the former Averof Restaurant on Mass Ave.

Marjorie and Bahij had originally met 8 years ago at a political function and even danced the first they met.  It wasn't until early last spring that they became reacquainted.

The couple now resides near Porter Square in Cambridge.
