VOTE TO REELECT MARJORIE DECKER ON TUESDAY
I AM PROUD OF THE MANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS THAT I HAVE ACHIEVED WORKING WITH MANY OF OUR NEIGHBORS. MOST IMPORTANTLY BY:
- Demanding accountability and transparency for every tax dollar received and spent.
- Ensuring that Cambridge continues to be only one of a handful of cities that has triple A bond rating allowing us to build a new library, a new youth center, renovate our public high school and continue supporting our senior center's programs.
I am asking for your to stick with me on November 3rd and either write my name on the ballot or place a sticker with my name on the ballot and honor me with your #1 vote---because we have more work to do:
- Fiscal Accountability/Protecting Our Seniors
- Holding the Cambridge Health Alliance accountable for the $6 million in taxpayer dollars we give them.
- Continue providing geriatric mental health services and senior health services at our senior centers.
- Greater accountability for how this money is spent.
- The Environment and Green Technology
- Champion the green standards that we have implemented in our city becoming a national model in our efforts to conserve energy and reduce our carbon footprint.
- Launch an initiative to integrate environmental education in all of 5 of youth centers including programming for middle and high school students
Education & Our Children
- Pursue more affordable early childhood education care.
- Work with parents and local childcare educators and providers and partner with Lesley University.
Public Safety
- Ensure that seniors and all residents feel safe and secure in their neighborhoods.
- Insist that some federal grant money fund on-site security.
- Educate and promote the resources available to Cambridge residents from birth through our senior years.
