Decker to be Master of Ceremonies
Councilor Marjorie Decker has been asked by the Homeless Empowerment Project to be the Master of Ceremonies at their event on June 18. The event will be from 5 - 8 pm at the Cambridge YMCA near Central Square. It will be held in Hannum Hall. There will be hors d'oeuvres along with non-alcoholic beverages and a mixture of both silent and live auctions that contain autographed Patriots and Red Sox memorabilia, original artwork, vacation packages, jewelry, and much more.
For almost 20 years, the HEP and their publication Spare Change News have been helping to inspire people that are homeless or experiencing other forms of social and economic adversity, as well as, striving to dispel myths surrounding homelessness and poverty.
