Having grown up as the daughter of a nurse’s aide who was a shop steward for her union, Marjorie knows the important role that unions play in our community. When the union was forced out of her mother’s work place, the pay decreased and the working conditions deteriorated. She will continue to be a strong advocate for the rights of workers in our community.

Marjorie will continue to examine and propose opportunities in our cities that are good for not only our residents, but also the children and grandchildren of our residents. |

Cambridge has a long history of supporting creative arts, and Marjorie has continually demonstrated her support of the arts despite multiple occasions when funding cuts have been threatened by city government. Arts and music help keep Cambridge a diverse community and attract rising stars in a variety of fields. Cambridge is a better city because of the contribution of those at Club Passim, the Brattle Theater, the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center and many others. |
