A Voice for Peace

Marjorie Decker has been a consistent and strong voice calling attention to the Iraq war and opposing the US invasion.

Each week, she reads the names of US soldiers killed in Iraq to honor families who have lost loved ones.

Marjorie is the lead sponsor to file anti-Patriot’s Act.

Marjorie lead the opposition to dismantling of the Police Review Advisory Board as an independent agency.

Marjorie worked with MASS Equality and Lavender Alliance organizers to expand support and resources for gay marriage. In fact, Marjorie is the only City Councilor who has personally raised funds to help support Mass Equal in their fight to preserve the right to gay marriage.
